Being an empath is difficult.
Being born an empath into a family with strong narcissistic traits is even harder.
From childhood, you become the black sheep.
You are punished for your emotions.
You are told not to cry.
You are forced to wear a mask that says,
"I'm fine."
You are taught that your sensitivity is something to be ashamed of.

One of the biggest misconceptions I see in psychology and spirituality is the idea that masks are something bad.
They are not.
A mask is often one of the most intelligent things your nervous system has ever created.
A child who grows up in an unsafe environment cannot simply decide to "be authentic."
If love feels conditional, the child learns to become whatever keeps them safe.
The good one.
The quiet one.
The strong

But I Didn't Realize I Was Documenting My Way Out.
For two and a half years, I was on what many people call the Twin Flame journey.
