Maybe Your Heart Isn't Closed. Maybe It Finally Learned to Protect You

One of the most common pieces of advice given to the Divine Feminine is:
"Open your heart."
For a long time, I believed that if enough people repeated the same sentence, there had to be some truth behind it.
But eventually I found myself asking a simple question:
What does that actually mean?
Because almost nobody explains it.
Does it mean trusting people again?
Does it mean forgiving everyone?
Does it mean allowing yourself to be hurt?
Does it mean entering another relationship?
Does it mean surrendering?
Or does it simply sound spiritual enough that no one dares to question it?
The more I thought about it, the more I realized that many women are trying to fix something that has never been clearly defined.
"Your heart is closed."
Is it?
Or did it simply stop accepting what used to hurt it?
There is a huge difference.
Someone who spent years people-pleasing, overgiving, chasing love, and abandoning themselves may eventually learn to say:
"No."
Suddenly, they are called "closed."
They stop explaining themselves.
They are called "guarded."
They create boundaries.
People say they need to "open their heart."
But boundaries are not walls.
Sometimes they are evidence that healing actually happened.
What if peace looks boring?
There is another message I hear all the time.
"You're afraid of success."
"You're afraid to step into your purpose."
"You're afraid of your highest timeline."
The interesting part is...
I don't feel afraid.
I write.
I create videos.
I publish articles.
I work on my books.
I enjoy what I do.
Yet somehow, someone always suggests that I'm not doing enough.
That maybe I'm avoiding something bigger.
But what if I'm not avoiding anything?
What if this is exactly where I'm supposed to be right now?
Not every Divine Feminine has the same mission.
Some women are meant to build companies.
Some are artists.
Some heal through conversations.
Some write books.
Some raise children.
Some quietly change the lives of the people around them.
Some create communities.
Some are still discovering what feels meaningful to them.
Why do we assume that every woman has to follow the same timeline?
Or the same pace?
Healing is not a competition.
Purpose is not a race.
And realization doesn't become more authentic simply because it looks impressive on social media.
Constant pressure disconnects us from ourselves.
Ironically, many women begin their healing journey to reconnect with themselves.
But somewhere along the way, they replace one pressure with another.
Instead of trying to be "good enough" for other people, they start trying to be "spiritual enough."
More healing.
More shadow work.
More manifestation.
More action.
More surrender.
More expansion.
Until they stop asking themselves the most important question:
What actually feels right for me?
Because if your entire spiritual journey is built on trying to satisfy someone else's expectations, are you really listening to your own intuition?
Maybe your heart is already open.
Maybe it simply no longer begs to be understood.
Maybe you don't need to chase.
Maybe you don't need to prove your worth.
Maybe you don't need another person to tell you that you're finally "aligned."
Maybe your heart isn't closed.
Maybe it finally learned the difference between love and self-abandonment.
And perhaps that isn't something that needs to be healed.
Perhaps it's something worth honoring.
Sometimes the greatest sign of healing isn't becoming more available to everyone.
It's becoming unavailable for everything that asks you to betray yourself.
